Blood sugar levels
Blood sugar level is measured in milligrams of glucose per liter of blood. In women, normal blood glucose levels are 110 mg / dL and less. Borderline blood sugar levels, impaired glucose intolerance, is considered when a person has 110 to 126 mg / dl values measured. In women with diabetes blood sugar level remains higher than 126 mg / dl for two to three days.
How to measure blood sugar level?
Women can test their blood sugar levels at home with glucose test strips. Electronic test equipment is also available and not too expensive.
A low-fat, high-fiber diet and regular exercise can help promote normal blood sugar level in women. Drugs or insulin therapies are also available.
